Brea Gragg

Hey friends! My name is Brea Gragg and I’m so excited to be part of LSA! Growing up with a pool,  and constantly around water, it was instilled in me from an early age that water safety was the key for water fun! I spent several summers at a local swim school here in NWA where I not only earned my “fish” but I learned the ins and outs of swimming! It was here that my love for the water coincided with my respect for it as well.

I married my high school sweetheart, Shelby, and we have two great kiddos- Ellison (8) and Sutton (3). We live in our hometown, Prairie Grove, and absolutely love it! I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BA in Journalism: Advertising and Public Relations and a M.Ed in Higher Education. For as long as I can remember I have LOVED working with children and their parents. I love building relationships with new and old friends. For the last several years I worked at our home church as the youth and children’s director and just recently quit to have more flexibility to be with my family! Now, you can find me volunteering at my son’s school, sitting at a game or practice, or serving in our local government.

My journey with Little Squirts has been relatively brief in the grand scheme of things, but it was within days that I knew it was something more than swim lessons! We put our son in traditional swim lessons at the same place I attended. By the time we had our daughter, that placed had shut down and we tried a few other traditional lessons but never felt it was the right fit. We had moved into a house with a pool, she was a Covid baby so we were all stuck at home, and I was a nervous wreck that she would somehow get out the back door and into our pool. In a desperate Facebook post, we found LSA! We started a late spring session and the skills my daughter picked up, while screaming her head off :), were truly life changing. In just weeks she was able to swim side to side in our pool, unassisted, and I was HOOKED.  I always wanted to give lessons in our pool and looked several times at getting certified in a more traditional manner but I couldn’t bring myself to offer something I didn’t truly believe in, like I did LSA. I couldn’t in good faith teach one thing while having my daughter enrolled in something very different. A couple friendships and Facebook messages later and here I am living out my love of relationship building with kids and their parents while teaching them life saving skills. It’s truly a blessing to be part of it and I can’t wait for you and your family to be part of it too!
