Lessons

Swimming is our passion…drowning prevention is our mission.

  • This weekly splash, play and learn swim program is a 30 minute group class for younger infants and a caregiver. It is instructor directed but parent taught and is the perfect way to acclimate infants to the water while introducing water safety skills. Infants will learn to balance in the water and be introduced to back floating in preparation for private Infant Survival lessons. Warm up your vocal chords and be prepared to sing a few songs!

  • This six-week program teaches infants ages 6 months to 12 months to roll over from a face down/submerged position onto their backs, while maintaining an independent back float until rescued. Lessons are private, one-on-one, 4 days per week (M-Th), 10 min each day for 6 consecutive weeks.

  • This six-week program teaches toddlers our Swim-Float-Swim sequence. Children will learn to swim a short distance with their face in the water, roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe, then flip back onto their belly for another short swim. This can be repeated until they reach safety. Lessons are private, one-on-one , 4 days per week (M-Th), 10 min each day for 6 consecutive weeks.

  • These children learn the same program as the younger children, however, usually at a quicker pace. Once the Swim-Float-Swim sequence is mastered, lessons can progress into stroke development. Lessons are private, one-on-one , 4 days per week (M-Th), 10 min each day for 6 consecutive weeks.

  • After completion of an initial 6 week course, maintenance lessons 1-2 times per week is highly encouraged to maintain skills and increase confidence. As your child grows, survival skills will need to grow as well. Just like riding a bike or roller skating, swimming is a skill that is not forgotten, but the muscle memory needs fine tuning as a child grows and their body changes. Like any learned skill, the more you practice the stronger you become.

  • Lessons are scheduled in 2-3 week sessions, 4 days a week, if a child has been absent from lessons for more than three months. They will need more time and consistency before continuing on with Maintenance lessons!
